Exponents
Exponents are just a quick way to do multiplication. An exponent is a symbol that means to repeatedly multiply a number, or the base, by itself. Sometimes exponents are called powers.

To evaluate an exponent, the exponent (or raised number) tells us how many times to multiply the base by itself.

Negative Exponents
The value of any number to a negative exponent will always fall somewhere between 0 and 1.
